There was  a recent commemoration of the Battle of Britain which featured no black or asian pilots in the footage screened thus giving the false impression that African/Caribbeans had no part in the battle or World War 2, the opposite is true. This event is a  detailed and extensive look at the African, Caribbean and Asian war effort with video clips and interviews with black Spitfire & bomber pilots, Nigerian and Somali troops fighting in Burma, black and asian women secret agents, u-boats in the Caribbean and the importance of Africa and India’s raw materials.
 
Please be on time and bring pen and pad for notes. This session will be especially useful for teachers and those looking to make the  curriculum historically accurate
