Eddie Noble was a jamaican WW2 veteran who served in the RAF, he wrote several books and was heavily involved in the fight for racial equality. After an attack by National Front members he was so severely injured he could no longer control his tear ducts and appeared to be constantly crying. Patrick Vernon founder of www.everygeneration.co.uk and a councillor in Hackney, spent a year recording his story before he died aged 87.
